Your access to and use of the First Base iOS application and this website (the "Service") is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part, you may not access the Service.
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days notice before any new terms take effect. By continuing to use the Service after revisions become effective, you agree to the revised terms.
First Base displays standings, schedules, and playoff probability estimates derived from publicly available Hot Stove Baseball data. All information provided by the Service — including standings, odds, projections, tiebreaker results, and bracket predictions — is for informational and entertainment purposes only. Playoff odds are Monte Carlo simulations based on the available data at the time of the last refresh; they are projections, not guarantees, and are subject to data lag and the inherent uncertainty of sports outcomes.
We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any standings data. Always verify important information directly with the league or tournament organizer.
The Service fetches publicly available data from the LI Hot Stove Baseball website. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by LI Hot Stove Baseball or GameChanger. The availability and accuracy of this data depends on third-party sources outside our control. We are not responsible for errors, delays, or changes in data from these sources.
The optional GameChanger integration relies on a third-party service not affiliated with Flipping Leaf LLC. GameChanger's availability and API behavior may change at any time without notice. We do not guarantee that the GameChanger integration will remain functional. GameChanger integration is provided as a supplementary freshness source only; the Service is fully functional without it.
First Base offers a free tier and a First Base Plus subscription. All in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. By subscribing, you authorize Apple to charge your payment method on file. Subscription fees are billed in advance and auto-renew at the end of each billing period until cancelled.
To cancel your subscription, manage it through your Apple ID subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No partial refunds are provided for unused subscription time. All purchases are final except as required by applicable law or Apple's standard refund policies.
You agree to use the Service only for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from the Service. You may not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise extract the source code of the application. You may not use the Service to scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect data for use in a competing product.
The Service, including all software, design, text, graphics, and other content created by Flipping Leaf LLC, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Standings, schedule, and bracket data displayed in the app originate from third-party public sources and remain the property of their respective owners. You acquire no ownership interest in either by using the Service.
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that odds calculations will be accurate for any particular event, team, or game outcome.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Flipping Leaf LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including loss of data, reliance on odds projections, or any other intangible losses — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim or $100 USD.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.
